The uniFlow Output Manager comes with a host of new services that allow businesses to manage and enhance their print processes more effectively. The solution’s powerful features include secure printing, remote tracking capabilities, desktop accounting and automatic job routing features.
“Cost-control and security are two blazing needs of businesses today and the uniFlow Output Manager is designed to help businesses to streamline printing processes leading to cost management and enhanced security. The combination of Canon multi-function devices (MFD) and the uniFLOW Output Manager helps businesses to better manage its print resources and operate in a seamless manner. The new software enables businesses to utilise their existing print devices to its full potential that results in better management of their print fleet. By leveraging on existing print resources, businesses achieve cost control and increased print uptime boosts productivity as well,” said K Bhaskar, Director, Direct Sales Operations, Business Imaging Solutions, Canon India.
Added security and confidentiality
For businesses that require added security and confidentiality, the Canon MFD equipped with uniFLOW addresses information security issues by providing users with effective security mechanisms to manage the output of sensitive information. Print jobs are held at the server and only authorised personnel can print and retrieve their printouts. The My Print Anywhere feature enables users collect their printouts at the Canon MFD of their choice for greater convenience. With Canon MFD enabled with uniFLOW, no confidential documents can get lost at public printers.
Businesses that deal in highly confidential information such as financial and legal firms have the flexibility of using various types of identification systems. The uniFLOW Output Manager can be easily integrated with biometric devices such as fingerprint sensors; card readers using contactless and magnetic cards; and keyboard PIN identification.
Job accounting for better cost management
Businesses can easily manage and measure usage and cost of print outputs, by using the uniFLOW Output Manager to provide key information on their printing volume. The combination of uniFLOW Output Manager with Canon MFD helps to ensure that printing charges are accurately accounted according to user, workgroup or department. It also allows administrators to efficiently maximise output resources. In addition, administrators and managers are able to set control perimeters on the types of print jobs each employee is able to perform. For example, they can control who gets to print in color, or even the maximum number of copies an employee can print in a month.
Incorporated in uniFLOW Output Manager is also a Remote Printer Server which allows administrators and managers to track print usage in remote areas. For example, spanning across geographical regions, uniFLOW is able to track an employee’s print usage even when the person is out-stationed in another department or office.
Intuitive job splitting for optimal office performance
Utilising office print devices to its maximum potential, the uniFLOW Output Manager is built to send a print job to different devices in order to maximise print productivity. For example, once a 60-page print job is sent, it is able to split the job between two devices, ensuring optimal efficiency and capacity utilisation.
