Eveready launches new rechargeable batteries

Eveready Industries India Limited (EIIL) launched the Eveready Recharge 2100 series range of rechargeable batteries today. The batteries are imported from a world-class company in South Asia and can be recharged up to a 1000 times.

Eveready Recharge 2100 series batteries will be initially available in a pack of two AA or pencil batteries at a MRP of Rs.250. Along with the 2100 series, EVEREADY RECHARGE also introduced a state-of-the-art Quick Charger that can charge both AA and AAA rechargeable batteries. This NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) Battery Charger takes only 6 hours to charge the 2100 series AA batteries. It comes equipped with a Safety Timer, thus eliminating the risk of overcharging & damaging the batteries. With an operating voltage range of 100-240V, the charger can be used anywhere in the world. Eveready Recharge 2100 series combo-pack of a charger and four AA batteries was also launched at a MRP of Rs 950/.

Speaking at the launch, Ms. Jayashree Mohanka, Senior General Manager – Battery Marketing, Eveready Industries India Limited said, “The newly introduced rechargeable batteries are 3 times as powerful as normal rechargeable batteries of 700 mAh. While normal NiCd (Nickel Cadmium) rechargeable batteries offer a power-capacity of 600-800 mAh, 2100series NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) rechargeable batteries will provide a capacity, which can go up to 2100 mAh. With so much power packed inside, this battery will be able to operate high power-surge equipment with ease. The high growth digital cameras in India is a case in point”
