Arjun Rampal and AD Singh announce the launch of 'LAP'

Film star and entrepreneur Arjun Rampal and noted restaurateur AD Singh today announced the launch of the capital’s much awaited destination, LAP.

The members’ only property was officially unveiled on the 28th and 29th of August at the Hotel Samrat in New Delhi. The restaurant property includes an exclusive members club; guests will be invited to become members by a screening committee comprising of eminent names. In addition, guests seeking membership can be proposed by an existing member of LAP.

LAP, designed by the well-known architect, Sandip Khosla has been in production for the last one year. The property places a premium on exclusivity and on the privacy of its elite membership. It is a place for guests to indulge in and, in turn, be indulged. The staff has been trained to be attentive without being intrusive, the food fabulous and the music and ambience par excellence.

This will be a place where members rub shoulders with their own, with film stars and supermodels. LAP is intimate yet extraordinary with vigorous attention to the art on the walls, exclusively designed pieces of furniture and chandeliers made with CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements , the excellent sound systems and the cleverly creative liquor and beverage menu. Guests can choose from an eclectic, international menu (foi gras burgers, wagyu, pastas and more)

LAP is the collaboration of the best in concept as well as design sensibilities. The decor of LAP is decadent with sweeping art deco undertones. The interiors are plush and designed for louche lounging. The tables at LAP have been designed, by Arjun Rampal, Gauri Khan, Tarun Tahiliani and Rohit Bal. Each table thus, carries its own unique sensibility heightened by ceilings resplendent in dazzling, low-hanging chandeliers in burnt honey tones.

The sparkling centerpiece of LAP is conceptualized and developed by CRYSTALLIZED™ - Swarovski Elements exclusively for LAP in original STRASS Swarovski crystals in Golden Teak color and trimmed with over 25000 crystal elements. The dynamic chandelier weighs over 500kg and restates distinctive brilliance, glamour and luxury in the space. Further enhancing the ambience is the usage of Swarovski Crystal Star LED lights. This customized lighting system creates star shaped patterns making the entrance walls sparkle radiantly.
