Belkin Inc., the leading global provider of interconnectivity solutions across computing and consumer electronic devices, today announced the launch of their new TuneBase FM and TuneBase Direct. Both TuneBase products offer the ability to listen to the music from an iPod/iPhone and to pick phone calls from an iPhone on hands free, while in a car. Easy to install, all it requires is connecting the Belkin TuneBase product to your cigarette lighter adapter in your car. The LED on the TuneBase FM indicates proper connection.

Both models have an adjustable cradle that allows you to orient an iPhone or an iPod. The iPhone can be conveniently settled into the Tune base product in the horizontally for viewing turn-by-turn GPS directions while driving, or for a passenger to enjoy things like video or images. When a call comes in through either unit, the music will fade out and you can simply press a button to accept it. Audio emits through the car's own stereo system. One can play and charge the iPhone/iPod in the car. Also, a second device can be charged through the USB provided.

TuneBase Direct- The TuneBase Direct connects to a car stereo through an auxiliary input using a 3.5mm cable, and simultaneously charges the device. TuneBase Direct gets you the best sound quality by plugging your iPhone or iPod directly into your car Stereo’s 3.5mm audio input.
