Kadence International’s insight division has grown its revenue by 20% during financial year 2008-2009. The global market research firm, which provides both insight and data collection services, reported overall growth of 9%, as its worldwide turnover increased from $10.4 million in 2007-2008 to $11.3 million this year.
Kadence International has witnessed strong demand for its services in Asian markets with its Indonesian and Malaysian operations achieving 89% and 45% revenue growth respectively. The research provider also enjoyed a 40% rise in UK sales which it attributes to the growth of its insight offering, repeat business and the expansion of current projects being delivered. Although the company’s operations in the US, India and Singapore experienced a tough year with restricted growth opportunities due to the global downturn, they all retained business and market share.
Simon Everard, Kadence Group Chairman, comments: "We have had a profitable year in a tough climate. Following an exceptionally solid start, the second half of the year was slower than expected due to the drop-off in international data collection projects from US agencies. However, revenue generated from our insight division continued its strong growth across all offices."
Commenting on individual office activity, Simon adds: "The ever-growing expansion of our Asian network demonstrates the need for Kadence International’s offering within this progressive region. China in particular enjoyed an extremely healthy and encouraging first year of trading, and we look forward to building on the phenomenal progress that has been made. Some offices did experience a challenging year due to external economic factors which resulted in significantly reduced corporate marketing spend in key sectors. These operations, however, have maintained close working relationships with existing clients and have seen activity increase in the last few months from both current and new relationships, indicating green shoots for the coming year."
With an established and rapidly expanding global network, and following a re-brand to reflect Kadence International’s dual insight and data collection offering and international presence, Simon is confident that the team will achieve further financial growth in the coming twelve months.
