Jaipur, January 22, 2010

Cinépolis, India's first international film exhibitor, today announced its strategic tie-up with World Trade Park (WTP) – Jaipur's upcoming mega retail cum entertainment project. After the first successful launch of Cinépolis in Amritsar in December 2009, WTP Jaipur would be the company's second project in the country. The cinema is expected to open in Q3 of CY 2010.

WTP, located in Jaipur's posh locality Malviya Nagar, promises to bring world-class business, retail and entertainment facilities to Jaipur and will serve as a one stop shop for the city's consumers, visitors and business communities. The project is the first of its kind in the country and will be a combination of heritage and hi-tech structure. Cinépolis will contribute to this world class experience through its expertise in film exhibition.

Cinépolis aims to consolidate and strengthen its association with movie aficionados by dotting several landscapes across the country and this is yet another step towards achieving the goal. The city of Jaipur is an ideal city for Cinepolis to approach since it offers the right combination of affluence, movie watching propensity and population.

"We are very excited about bringing our world standard cinema experience to this historic city of Jaipur. We are equally thrilled to associate with Jaipur's landmark WTP project, which will be without doubt the best retail and entertainment destination of the city. With our state of the art all digital and 3-D cinemas, we will offer the city with an innovative, aesthetic and compelling entertainment option", said Milan Saini, Managing Director and Country Head, Cinépolis India.

Speaking on the partnership, Mr. Anoop Bartaria, Managing Director and Chairman, WTP said, "World Trade Park will bring the true international experience to the city of Jaipur by bringing together the best of brands under one roof. We are proud to announce our partnership with Cinépolis, the first international multiplex operator in the country. Cinepolis brings together a vast experience of four decades in the film exhibition business that will manifest itself in providing an exciting and differentiated cinema experience for the citizens of Jaipur."

Cinépolis is also supporting WTP and Sanskriti - a social welfare organization in organizing a marathon event "Jaipur Dream Run" which is scheduled to happen on January 24, 2010 in the city. The event is a social endeavor to bring together the common man, the corporate czar, the politician and the socialite onto one platform and to stir the conscience of every citizen, encouraging them to reach out in aid of a cause or to make their city better.

"As part of our corporate philosophy of being actively engaged with our communities, we are excited to partner with WTP & Sanskriti in supporting the Jaipur Marathon," further added Mr. Saini.

Till date, Cinépolis has secured a pipeline of 160 screens across 10 cities and plans to open 500 screens by 2016, targeting 40 cities.
