INOX Leisure Ltd. announces Q3 results

INOX Leisure Ltd. today announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 31st December 2009. INOX reported a PAT (Profit after Tax) of Rs. 8.74 crores as compared to Rs. 3.99 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, an increase of 119%.

Total Income for the quarter rose by 29% to Rs. 84.28 crores up from Rs. 65.48 crores. INOX registered an EBITDA of Rs. 20.47 crores compared to Rs. 10.59 crores in the same quarter of the previous year, a growth of 93%. Sales were up by 29% to 83.89 crores in Q3 09-10 versus Rs. 65.21 crores in Q3 08-09.

INOX has also achieved significant operational milestones this quarter with its total number of multiplexes up from 26 to 30, screens under operation up from 91 to 109 and seats under operation up from 26835 to 31401 as compared to the corresponding quarter in 2008-2009.

Commenting on the results, Mr. Deepak Asher, Director - INOX Leisure Ltd. said, "The good line up of movies this past quarter in Hindi, English as well as regional languages has contributed significantly to our performance. With a good release pipe-line coming up we expect to see good quarters ahead."

INOX Leisure Ltd. currently has 30 operational properties, with 109 screens and a seating capacity of 31401 in 21 cities across India.
