If you are a sports fan and love to watch a game in the comfort of your home with your family and friends, then this is just what you always wanted. With several international games round the corner, it's time for the sports aficionado to switch to a technology that promises a truly world-class viewing experience.
For sports lovers who love watching an action-packed cricket game, LG's IPS Technology LCDs will help you enjoy flicker-free motion pictures. In case you don't want the commentary to die out in a cacophony of human voices in the background, the ‘Clear Voice' feature alters the sound balance to reduce the background noise. So it's time to bring out the popcorn and enjoy a great match with LG's IPS Technology LCDs.
LG's In Plane Switching (IPS) technology is one of the world's leading LCD technologies, and innovatively aligns liquid crystal technology to increase the viewing angle. With an IPS panel, one is assured of vivid and clear moving images because of excellent Moving Picture Response Time (MPRT) performance and variation. Cricket fanatics can be assured that there will be no colour distortion from any angle because of no shift in gamma rays, thus being least strenuous to human eyes. The touch panel is also vastly stable as moving picture image sticking does not occur.
According to a recent AC Nielsen survey, Indian audiences are warming up to IPS technology. The survey conducted in five metros - Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Bangalore - has revealed that IPS panel technology is emerging as a favourite among people in the age group of 25-39. It also revealed that awareness of the panels has increased from 9.0% in March 2009 to 16.6% in December 2009.
Developed in 1996, IPS was initially meant to improve the poor viewing angle and the poor color reproduction of twisted nematic (TN) panels at that time. Its name comes from the main difference from the TN display, with the crystal molecules moving parallel to the panel plane instead of moving perpendicularly. This change reduces the amount of light scattering in the matrix, which gives IPS its characteristic wide-viewing angles and good color reproduction.
Knock the panel- IPS stands out!
In a VA panel the liquid crystal molecules are compressed on knocking, become distorted and leak the light. The IPS panel is hard. Its molecular arrangement does change even on being knocked. When the IPS panel is pressed down, the original colours remain, with some change of brightness. The viewing angle of IPS panel is thus much better, mainly for it can ensure the proportion of the 3 colours within a large visible range.
With cricket mania catching on in India like never before, LG LED LCDs enhances the television viewing experience even further. With the advantages that the technology offers, fast moving pictures are best seen on IPS LCD TVs. The perfect picture quality has been ensured no matter from which side to be watched. Its thanks to IPS LCDs that watching IPL has become a superior viewing experience. With Twenty-20 World Cup and FIFA World Cup round the corner, give your eyes a finer and healthier viewing experience with IPS technology!
LG's IPS technology backed TVs are indeed the choice of the times!
