"MET's research and understanding of the PR Industry showed that there is a dire need for trained ready-to-be-absorbed PR professionals. Through discussions with MET's esteemed PR faculty and corporates, we ideated a PG programme in Executive Diploma in Public Relations Management (EDPRM) for aspirants who wish to make a mark in the PR industry. We envisage that MET's holistic programme EDPRM will allow quality personnel to enter the PR world and thus contribute to the growth of the PR industry" says Mayura Amarkant, Chief Course Coordinator – MET IMM.

MET IMM outlined the syllabus, curriculum, prospectus, admission process, evaluation and certification system for this professional EDPRM programme, which was then reviewed and endorsed by the PRCAI. Industry professionals from PRCAI will deliver several modules for this programme at MET. At the same time various leading PR professionals from the industry will also share practical, hands-on knowledge with the students. This will ensure that realistic industry inputs will find their way into the curriculum and teaching methodology.

While speaking about this specialized programme Amitesh Banerjee, Head Marketing Committee, PRCAI said, "MET's Executive Diploma in Public Relations Management (EDPRM) transforms an aspirant into a complete, ready to be absorbed PR professional through industry-ready, practical and holistic PR modules. PRCAI decided to endorse the curriculum after studying and acknowledging that EDPRM programme attempts to go beyond the theoretical framework by providing students hands-on training on the PR tools and techniques"
