Picasso Animation College, one of the premier animation institutes in the country, recently awarded with the title of "Best Animation Institute of the Year 2010" at 4th Idiot Animation Contest Award Ceremony organised by India Book of Records held recently at Dogra Hall, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi campus.
Picasso bagged this award for a short film Asoka by students of the institute. The film has been shortlisted in the top 10 out of 100 entries. There was a prominent panel of judges who selected and shortlisted the winners of this competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Ranganathan Swamy K.J., Art & Design Faculty of Picasso Animation College, who represented the institute for receiving the coveted award said, "This is a great honor for us to have the Best Animation Institute of the Year award. It is all for the students of the college whose constant effort bring the college in the limelight and help to achieve this award. I would like to dedicate this award to the entire team, who have helped us to reach this magnificent feat."
This award is regarded as one of the most prestigious awards for the animation institutes in India. Students from various branches of Picasso Animation College came to join this magnificent feat.
