Put together a little magic, an eye for colour, some imagination with lots of fun and everyone can be an artist with the all new "Art Attack" premiering September 19, 2010 at 10:30 am on Disney Channel! Pottery, painting, sculpting and more - there is something for everyone on Art Attack - kids' favourite, on-air arts and crafts workshop on Disney Channel.
An exciting campaign "Paint Your World" celebrating Art Attack launch on Disney Channel is engaging kids across Mumbai. Kids from several schools in the city including St.Joseph School, Greens Lawns High School and Kendriya Vidhyalaya were asked to paint their vision of the world - their hopes, dreams, ambitions and messages on a white globe provided by Disney Channel.
These one-of-a-kind art pieces made by kids from across the country will be put together to create a unique art installation. Over 2000 children from select schools in the city participated in this activity.
Holy Name school in Mumbai also hosted this activity yesterday. Says Father Michael Pinto, the Principal of the school, "This is a great initiative by Disney Channel's Art Attack.
The children got a superb platform to express their thoughts and ideas. Gaurav was great with the students and got them really excited to create their globes showing them easy and creative techniques. This exercise also encouraged kids to think about their world and what they can do to make it better while having a lot of fun."
Disney Channel aims to encourage kids to believe in themselves, follow their dreams and express themselves through as many creative forms as they can imagine! Gaurav, the new host of Art Attack will help all Disney Channel fans tap into their hidden skills and bring alive their creativity.
With easy to find material at home, kids will get to explore the world of art and crafts in a fun-filled, entertaining and humorous ride every Sunday at 10:30am.
Says Arnab Chaudhuri, Director Content and Creative, Walt Disney Television International India, "Art is fun! It is a great way for kids to express themselves and Art Attack will encourage kids to approach art and craft through entertainment.
