In order to promote art and to start a dialogue between artists and viewers, Akshay Parnami- a photographer cum an art connoisseur has started a new art firm- Aura Fine Arts Realm Pvt Ltd.

As an inaugural event, the firm is all set to host its first show Intrepid Dreamers at Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi from Sept 14-20. A preview show was organised at M S University's (Baroda) fine arts faculty exhibition hall last week and it received an overwhelming response from students, teachers and art lovers.

Dreamers by their own right, the artists have drawn heavy influence from reality around them. These dreams, ranging from humour to lucid expressions in sculpt works or even dreaming up art in garbage, are all part of the week long show inaugurated yesterday.

"The intuition and good training of these artists shows clearly in their works. I am happy that even in these times of digital reality, art comes out of life's experience and not just thought," shared leading art and literary critic Keshav Malik at the inauguration of the art show.

While the show attempts to capture the evolution of young artists, who experience a flurry of images that are thrown at them and making sense of this traffic of visuals. The exhibition is also an effort to put forth upcoming talent from one of the best fine arts faculty of this country and the culture city of Baroda.

According to Akshay Parnami, Director, Aura Fine Arts Realm Pvt Ltd., "The aim of the firm is to act as a catalyst in initiating contemporary art activities and starting a dialogue between the artist and the viewer. The firm intends to create a kingdom of unique artworks as well as to further artists' careers by supporting the production, presentation and placement of works in good collections".

The Intrepid Dreamers showcases works of award winner Krupa Makhija, Shatrughan Thakur, Akshay Parnami, Prabhakar Alok, V Bhaskar, V Suryanarayana, Arbind Kumar Singh, Harendranath, and Mukesh Ganji.

These artists belong to different parts of the country but the common thread that binds them is that all these artists have done their Masters from MS University, Baroda and have made Vadodara their home town.

Krupa Makhija has won several awards including the prestigious 51st National Award in Painting from Lalit Kala Akedemi (2009), Harmony Excellence Award for Emerging Artist of the Year (2008), amongst others. The objects used in her paintings are mostly abandoned, rusted and rejected by the people.

These objects appear to be taken out of their isolation, and seem to be involved in a monologue, dialogue, or even a conference among themselves. She has attempted to introduce symbolic language through her paintings by observing the nuances of symbolic language in still-life genre.

Shatrughan Thakur's skillful and sensitive handling of natural and vegetable dye creates compositions that bring forth his concern for the rapidly vanishing traditional art forms and skills.

In this exhibition, he showcases work that revolves around stories from history and uses the medium as a tool or a signifier of meaning to point at issues around its own existence. He has used khadi as canvas for all his paintings.

The Director, Akshay Parnami, though with a commerce background is now a practicing artist himself. His lens searches for subjects that exist in their own esoteric space, yet breed site for some hidden potential. Between these gaps, exist scope for exploration, freshness as well as spontaneity.

Prabhakar Alok's works reflect the pressures of global on localities that have not yet fully assimilated its lop-sidedness. V Bhaskar too expresses his anxiety about present via graphic renditions of devastating effects of technological advancements and inventions. Suryanarayan's carefully crafted sculptures display his technical expertise.

He focuses on sculpting parts of human body to register his resistance against the consumerist attitude of the society and the growing importance of material culture.
