Digital technology leader, Samsung India has launched nine new models in its top loading washing machines category with 6.2kg - 7.5kg capacity. Combining ultimate design with technology for the gentlest care, Samsung's Top Loading Washing Machines ensure long lasting germ-free, stain-free and odour-free clothes. "The new 2010 washing machine has been developed keeping in mind the needs of Indian consumers. This product range is differentiated on account of its superior performance and water saving features" states Mr Ravinder Zutshi, Deputy MD, Samsung India.
The Company has also signed up bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra as its new Brand Ambassador for its Home Appliance products. "Priyanka Chopra will spearhead our advertising campaign for the new top loading washing machine range this festival season. Going forward, we will be associating with her for our advertising /communications of other Home Appliance products as well."
Speaking about the association, Mr Zutshi said, "Priyanka's blend of spirit and style, success and charm match strongly with the Samsung brand, which prides itself on its innovation and superior products. Also Priyanka's dynamism combined with our brand expertise will help us present our products in different, innovative ways to consumers."
Samsung has introduced its revolutionary 'Eco Storm' technology in its 7.0 kg and above Top Loading Washing Machines for better wash performance and less water spending. The 'Inner Care Storm' feature generates a powerful multi-directive water wave for better washing performance and less tangling while the Outer Power Storm creates stronger water flow to effectively scrub off dirt, greasy stains and detergent residue in the fabric. The Eco Storm's powerful center Twist Pulsator rotates in opposite directions to make hand rubbed effect. The two pulsators wash the clothes perfectly and thoroughly, so one doesn't have to rinse the laundry repeatedly, saving 28% of water.
Affordable innovation is what Samsung 6.2 and 6.5 kg top loading washing machines deliver. Whether it is the Double Storm Pulsator, Air Turbo Drying Systemâ„¢, or 5-Step Super Clean System feature, you can be guaranteed that your clothes will be in for a treat. Samsung's Double Storm Pulsator uses dual jets of water to create multi-dimensional water currents to achieve a deeper clean with less damage to the fabric without unnecessary tangling of clothes. In addition, the newly added Memory function will memorize the functions you use most often and recall these settings at a simple push of a button.
The unique Aqua Preserve feature and Air Turbo Drying Systemâ„¢ further add tremendous functionality to Samsung's Top Loading Washing Machines. Aqua Preserve reduces waste of water by reusing the last rinsed out water before final spin-dry to save water and your money! (This function is only available to use when you select twice of rinsing). The Samsung Top Loading Washing Machines come with a 5-step super clean system. This allows you to automatically deep soak, soak, dissolve stains, separate dirts and deep cleanse the laundry loads with just a few button pushes.
Samsung's entire new Top Loading Washing Machines incorporate the advanced Diamond Drum technology, which Samsung developed to create the ideal environment for a deep, yet gentle wash. By embedding hundreds of tiny water exit holes (20% smaller than those found in the average conventional drum) within the diamond shaped depressions which collect water, the Diamond Drum effectively minimizes the risk of clothes getting caught and damaged without compromising on performance. In addition, these new washing machines feature Samsung's Magic Filter, which ensures more efficient collection of lint, especially when the water level is low. The Magic Filter also includes an electronic indicator so you'll know when your filter needs cleaning.

It's specially colored two tone top design, highly durable scratch-free tempered glass window give the machines a subtle yet elegant appeal. This stunning new look serves as the perfect complement to the stylish interiors of the modern Indian home while its wash experience is designed to delight.
With the launch of the new range, Samsung's complete Washing Machine lineup includes 47 models - 13 Fully Automatic Front loading, 22 Fully Automatic Top Loading and 12 Semi Automatic washing machines. With the front loaders, you can choose models with capacities ranging from 5 kg to 7.5 kg priced in the range Rs. 20,490/- to Rs.43,999/-, while top loaders models have capacities between 5.8Kg to 10.5Kg, priced between Rs. 10,690/- and Rs.25,990/-. Semi automatic washers are available in capacities between 6.2Kg and 8Kg, priced between Rs. 7,000/- and Rs. 10,200/-. Samsung washing machines are available in colors ranging from light grey, Caribbean silver, imperial silver and Carmen wine.
"Based on the new launches today, we are looking at consolidating our No.1 position in the fully automatic washing machine segment and notching up a 27% market share in the total washing machine category by the end of this year," said Mr. Zutshi.
