The 3-day summit (Jan 20-22) held at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai had its entire focus on 'The Power of Digital and Mobile Marketing in Asia'. The event saw such industry stalwarts like Gurbaksh Chahal (Radium One), Gillian Muessig (SEOmoz), Eric Bozinny (Microsoft), Siddharth Jhunjhunwala (Web Spiders), Mahesh Narayanan (Google India) and others providing valuable insights on digital and mobile marketing. The third day of the conference consisted of two workshops on Advanced SEO and Social Media Marketing conducted by industry leaders.

Click Asia Summit 2011 - Highlights
Day 1
The event started off with an inspiring keynote by the founder of RadiumOne, Gurbaksh Chahal. His message to all budding entrepreneurs was to look beyond failures and step out to embrace the power of digital media in the near future. Equally commendable presentations by Google India's Mahesh Narayanan on 'Mobile Web: The New Mass Media' and 'There's an App for That' by Neil Burton from Web Spiders established the fact that mobile marketing cannot be left out of any digital marketing strategy in the days to come.
Cyriel Kortleven from new shoes today was on fire as he wowed the crowd with his session on the Role of Creativity and Innovation in Digital and Social Media Marketing. The key differences in PPC and Organic search optimization were discussed by Jeff Adelson Yan. Adding a dash of filmi flavor to the proceedings was the stellar presence of actor and social activist Anupam Kher. His witty anecdotes and charming persona left the audience awe-struck!
Day 2
On Day 2 the secondary keynote on Metrics and Analytics by Gillian Muessig was an eye opener for businesses who want to move into digital marketing seriously. Other remarkable presentations included the session on 'Twitter for Business' by Pradeep Chopra (Digital Vidya), Benedict Hayes (Communicate2) and a second session from Gurbaksh Chahal on the future of Digital Advertising and among others. Anol Bhattacharya and Neil Burton enlightened the audience about how B2B enterprises could capitalize on social media, digital marketing and lead nurturing.
Day 3
Day 3 of Click Asia Summit 2011 comprised two workshops on Social Media and SEO. The Social Media workshop was energetically conducted by Gaurav Mishra (MSLGROUP Asia) and Gillian Muessig, with enthusiastic participation of the audience. The SEO workshop was no less exciting, with Bill Hunt (Back Azimuth Consulting), Benedict Hayes (Communicate2) and Rajiv Dingra (WAT Media) at the helm of the proceedings. Both halls were absolutely packed, but attendees didn't seem to mind as they soaked up the collective wisdom of these industry stalwarts.
Click Asia Summit 2011 - #CAS11 one of the top trends on Twitter!
The official hashtag of Click Asia Summit 2011 was #CAS11 and Twitter was abuzz with activity for all three days of the conference and even after. With many of the attendees tweeting live from the event and others in the digital world following closely, #CAS11 became a trending topic on Twitter right from Day 1! The event received a lot of positive feedback on Twitter, and more importantly there was active participation from speakers, delegates, attendees and many others from all walks of the digital marketing landscape.
Asked on what prompted the necessity of organizing such a huge event, Kavita Jhunjhunwala, Show Director, Click Media said, "Click Asia Summit 2011 started as a long-standing wish to create an event that would be a learning forum for the digital marketing community and a place to showcase new tools in the digital marketing space, and to network. Judging by the response, I guess India is ready to embrace digital marketing big time!"
