LT Foods Limited, India's leading producer of Basmati Rice under the flagship brand of Daawat, has launched four new variants of basmati rice — Daawat Biryani Basmati Rice, Daawat Traditional Basmati Rice, Daawat Super Basmati Rice and Daawat Pulav Basmati Rice.
These new variants have been launched based on LT Foods' extensive consumer insight work which showed that consumers desire specialist rice for their special rice dishes. The 4 new variants cater to the four most commonly prepared dishes in Indian homes, namely, biryani, pulav, aromatic plain white rice dish and daily consumption of basmati rice with curries and pulses. This new range by LT Foods is available in 1 kg and 5 kg pack at all the leading retail outlets & super markets across India.
The range is priced between Rs.60 to Rs.150/- Daawat with these new launches have tried to educate the consumers of the variety of rice to be used for cooking Biryani & Pulav respectively.
Commenting on this new development, Mr. Ashwani Arora, Joint Managing Director, LT Foods Ltd said "In the market basmati rice is available to consumers at different price points. In many cases basmati is also sold loose and the only differentiating factor is the price at which the rice is sold. Consumer is thus often unable to select the proper rice they want for their rice dishes. With rice grains specially selected and labeled for specific usage LT Foods helps the process of consumer selection and fills this lacunae in the market."
