The President, honorable Shri Kamal Nath and the members of the Board of Governors of the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad take pride in announcing Convocation 2011. IMT, Ghaziabad has for the past 31 years, contributed and enriched the world of management education with several cutting edge initiatives. Consistently ranked amongst the top 10 B-schools in the country, it has proved time and again that it is constant innovation that sets the leaders apart from the followers.

On the proud occasion of the Annual Convocation 2011 IMT Ghaziabad has yet another success story to talk about. The tale is that of of PGDM 2009-2011 whose impressive academic progress and outstanding placements stand testimony to the contributions of IMT to management education and the business world. The total number of students graduating is 407 from the two year full time PGDM program, 36 from the part time program and 59 from the executive PGDM program.

Shri Kamal Nath in his address said, "The rapid pace at which new technologies appear, combined with swiftly changing business scenarios that derive from an interconnected world - in terms of both, aspirations as well as hard economics - results in management challenges that are not only enormous but are, sometimes, without precedent. This new reality calls for a management technology that is innovative and change-responsive: a management technology that transforms insights into ideas, and ideas into value. This is the core of the management education that IMT imparts." He further wished all convocants of 2011 a future in which their aspirations and dreams are achieved - a future in which the professional skills they have gained become the instruments of self-fulfillment and, simultaneously, social contribution.

The chief guest Nandan Nilekani, Chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) delivered the convocation address and said, "It gives me great pleasure to participate in the Annual Convocation in 2011 of the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad.IMT has already established itself as one of the leading schools of management in India. In the coming years, IMT will continue to impart quality management education to face new global challenges. I hope and wish that IMT will expand its campuses of international standard throughout the country, so that quality education could be imparted to a larger number of students." He wished IMT success in all its endeavors.

Dr. Bibek Banerjee, Director, IMT Ghaziabad and Academic Mentor, IMT shared the notable achievements of IMT Ghaziabad in 2010-2011 and said, "IMT believes in creating socially responsible business leaders who strive for excellence. We at IMT strive for student focused learning environment where research based teaching is our motto. With this belief, the institute has consistently endeavored to promote excellence in academics, research, global linkages and dynamic industry interface. Besides having IMT campuses at Ghaziabad, Nagpur and Dubai, we have added a new member to the IMT family, that is, IMT Hyderabad which will start functioning from the academic year 2011 - 12." He emphasized the role of integrity in life and urged the convocants to make positive and inclusive contribution to society.
