The Castrol World Cup Ka Hero campaign has been one of the most talked about promotions around the ICC World Cup 2011. The concept (offering the winner a royal in-stadia treatment) itself is uniquely interesting. The seven city event, including all on-ground logistics is being managed by Showtime. An extensive recce to identify the right location for the winner to watch the match was done in advance. This was followed by moving the Winner's Throne to the stadium and positioning it at the desired location a day before the match. Simultaneously, a separate team would manage verification and ticket distribution to other contest winners. The hero's ticket and merchandise personally signed by Sachin Tendulkar are delivered at his hotel along with his ticket.

On the day of the match, the Hero is escorted into the stadium by three hostesses and a personal body-guard. He is enthroned and is offered a wide range of hospitality services while watching the match… Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity for cricket fans!

Commenting on the campaign, Prashant V V, VP - Showtime said, "It has been a fantastic experience working with the Castrol & IMG Reliance's teams on this project. The logistics were a bit complicated but we have had a tremendous response so far and we hope to keep rocking further ahead."
