Paradigm Plus bags Remmy Award 2011 for Wipro BPO Ad

Paradigm Plus along with Wipro BPO are honored with 'The Best in BPO Industry Award' in the 5th Remmy Awards. It has also got one nomination in the same category. The Remmy Awards by the Times Ascent is conferred to the best recruitment advertising communication in print media every year. It includes various categories of awards across sectors like BPO, IT, Telecom, Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, Banking, Finance and Insurance Services.

Other category winners include JWT, Grey Worldwide, Euro RSCG and Joshbro. Grey Worldwide has won the Grand Prix at the 5th Remmy Awards for its work on HCL Axon and the Best Art Direction Award for the same campaign in the 'IT & Telecom category'. HSBC along with JWT Mindset Advertising won the 'Best Campaign', while Joshbro Communications won two Remmys - 'Best Copy' and 'Best Ad in the Services category'.

This year Remmys witnessed a huge volume of entries counting to 275 from the Advertising Agencies across the country. Jury for the Awards consisted of Rajesh Dahiya, President - HR, Axis Bank, Sanjay Jog, Chief People Officer- Future Group, Sumit Mitra, Executive Vice President (Corporate HR)- Godrej Consumer Products, Ryan Menezes, Chief Creative Officer- Percept/H, Bhupal Ramnathkar, Founder,Chairman- Umbrella Design and Raj Nair, Regional Creative Director- Contract Advertising.

Talking to us on this achievement Ashika Sarkar, the Account Director of Wipro said, "It is quite challenging to work on the account of Wipro BPO, where across the 7 locations there are various concerns of the TG has to be addressed through effective communication, make a strong & eye catchy creative and ensure adequate footfall. The trinity of Pride, Passion and Integrity defines the brand Wipro BPO. We wanted to highlight the pride factor of being associated with the brand and its impact in every Wiproite's life. The creative gels with this idea and helped us convey the message in the most impactful manner."

Chief guest of the event, Saugata Gupta, chief executive officer - Consumer Products Business, Marico Limited, said, "In order to derive a competitive edge, processes and strategies can easily be replicated, but people resources are impossible to replicate; hence it can easily be proclaimed that people are the sole differentiating factor."

Speaking about this year's entries, jury member, Nair said, "Larger corporates need to focus on how they want to build their brand. I am sure if the briefs are clear, the agencies can churn out winning ads and wrong hires can be kept at bay."

Jog added, "HR today doesn't actively interact with the ad agency. This is a mindset, which HR managers need to change. I think recognizing recruitment advertising is a very important step. When people see ads, which are nominated or have won, they will get far more encouraged."
