McDonald's introduces a new, spicy menu

As a part of its continuing efforts to develop innovative products for the Indian market, McDonald's, the world's largest quick service restaurant chain today introduced a new range of McSpicy products in India. McDonald's India menu has been enhanced with the new premium McSpicy products to delight the customers even further. The latest additions to McDonald's popular menu include the hot and snappy McSpicy Chicken Burger, McSpicy Paneer Burger, McSpicy Chicken Wrap and McSpicy Paneer Wrap.

Adding a delicious tinge of spicy flavour to customers' tastebuds, the McSpicy Chicken Burger offers a freshly prepared tender juicy chicken bite with spicy notes and a slight audible crunchy bite from outside with fresh green lettuce and creamy mayonnaise inside. The vegetarians will enjoy the McSpicy paneer burger, where the pattie has been replaced with fresh and moist paneer and an additional squirt of flavourful tandoori sauce to increase the taste quotient.

McDonald's new wraps consists of crispy chicken wrap and paneer wrap which are irresistibly delicious. McSpicy Chicken wraps have fresh soft tortilla wrap with a tender juicy chicken bite, fresh salad dressing and creamy mayonnaise. The McSpicy Paneer Wrap comes with a spicy moist paneer bite and an additional hint of mustard flavour.

Commenting on the spicy customisation, Vikram Bakshi, Managing Director McDonald's India North & East said, "The new McSpicy range marks more than the launch of new products. It is the start of a year full of new offerings and menu expansion. The McSpicy menu is a part of our ongoing endeavour to add variety and expand our menu to suit our customers' preferences. These are products from our core global menu, but tailored to the Indian palate. This is the biggest product range introduction in the market since McDonald's launch in the country in 1996, and after the launch of Happy Price Menu. These premium products will further help us strengthen our menu and leadership in the segment."

The McSpicy range will be available across India and is priced at Rs. 89/- for McSpicy Burgers and Rs. 108/- for McSpicy Wraps.

The marketing campaign for the range is also set to present a spicy twist to the 'I'm lovin' it' experience. The campaign will debut in April with a mix of TVCs, print and in-store promotions.

McDonald's will also roll out various prize winning contests in the upcoming IPL4 season in collaboration with Topps with a unique cricket trading card game. Customers can also look forward to winning a chance to win stadium tickets besides a whole lot of exciting in-store activities through this integrated campaign!
