INDIA - (April , 2011) - PUMA, the 3rd time apparel sponsor for the Deccan Chargers, today unveiled the team's official IPL uniforms for home and away matches. To showcase the new kit, Deccan Chargers' players Michael Lumb, Jean Paul Duminy, Ishant Sharma and Dale Steyn, amongst others were present at PUMA's launch event. The players, wearing the Deccan Chargers apparel, charged in making 'hand horns', a symbolic gesture resonating with the Deccan Chargers' theme of the raging bull.
PUMA, recognized world over for its aesthetic blend of sport, fashion and lifestyle, adds a dash of chic finesse and flair to the kits with this season's range of jerseys, tracks, headwear, bib, sweats and personalized kit bags. In line with PUMA international benchmarks, the Deccan Chargers' IPL uniforms have a tailored designer silhouette with equal emphasis on player performance. The technical materials, cuts and shapes are driven by function of use, and are created for the players to have maximum flexibility to enhance on-field performance.
The jerseys are made with 100% polyester and are circular and double knit to ensure the long lasting richness of the team color. The sport specific jersey has advanced ventilation which is highly breathable and protects against overheating. This allows the players to minimize energy loss by maintaining even body heat. This is in addition to PUMA's patented moisture management technology that rapidly wicks away moisture and evaporates it keeping the players dry and comfortable.
