The second day of the Toyota-IGU Southern India Juniors Tour proved to be as exciting as yesterday with the young golfers continuing to battle it out for top honors, while working hard to maintain their leads from Round 1.

The day proved historic for the young Bihar sensation and Patna Golf Club's teenage sensation Aman Raj who scored a hole-in-one at the 160 yard - 8th hole with his 8 iron at one of the best golf courses in Asia.Teeing off this sunny morning as one of the first few from the "Under 18 boys Category", Aman ended his day with at par placing him fifth at the end of day two in his category.

Local lad Chikka continues to maintain his lead at the tournament, playing a 5 under 67 today, totaling his second day score at 136. While local boy, Bangalore Golf Club's Rahul continues to maintain his second spot in the "Under 18 Boys" Category with three - over 75 and a total of 145 mid tournament, at the close of day two, hotly pursuing him is Army Golf Club's Harjot Singh Soni at score of two- over 74 and total of 146.

Amongst the girls, Bangalore Golf Club's Aditi Ashokh maintains her lead from yesterday in the combined 'A-B Girls Category' with a score of eight - over 80 making her total score 155 at the end of day 2. Despite leading the pack, Aditi hopes to improve her game on the last day of play. "I am going to work on improving my tee shots and drives. I am looking forward to playing a much better game tomorrow." Said Aditi at the end of day two.

A surprising entry into the lead amongst the girls is Delhi Golf Club's Milli Saroha who jumped into contention for top honors with a six - over 78 score in round 2 and a total of 161 putting her in the lead in the "Under 18 Category" and a close second in the "A -B Category". Milli's impressive score today sends local girl Tvesa Malik to a second place, who managed a fourteen - over 86, closing her tally of both the days at 163.

In the 'Under 14 Boys Category' DLF Golf Club's Piyush Sangwan retained top spot with a round 2 score of five - over 77 and a closed his day at 152. Viraj Madappa of Tollygunge Golf Club jumped into second spot, displacing Shiv, with a score of six - over 78 totaling at 159 at the end of the day sending defending champion and Chennai's Gymkhana's Shiv Srinivasan to third position, with eleven - over 83 and a total of 160.

With Aditi also leading the "Under 14 Girls Category', Ridhima Dilawari of Delhi Golf Club retained her second spot in the category by scoring a seventeen - over 89 ending her pre - final day with a total of 171. "I can play a better game than today. Perhaps this being my first tournament at KGA, I am finding it a little challenging to reach the Greens. However, I know that this is now going to be my favorite course as it is one of the best I have played at."

RCF Kapurthala's Gurjot Badwal seemed to have improved her game over yesterday ending her day with a score of thirteen - over 85 and a total of 179 maintaining her third place in her category.

Arjun Puri of Delhi Golf Club takes over as the leader in 'Under 12 Boys Category' with a score of seven - over 79 and a 162 total as yesterday's category leader Tanvir Kahlon of Air Force Golf Club, moves to second place with a ten - over 82 in round 2.

The "Under 12 Girls Category" saw some great improvements today with KGA's Suchitra Ramesh jumping into the lead with a score of thirteen - over 85 in Round 2 while fellow contemporary Shruthi Shenoy jumped into second place in the category, after being fourth yesterday, with a score of twenty - over 92 and a total of 189. Riya Ahuja retained her third position lead with a score of thirty one - over 101 and closed the day with a total of 198.

The recent winner at the Karnataka Juniors 2011, Royal Calcutta Golf Club's Devansh Chadha is tied with young Faridabad Golfer Karan Pratap Singh at a score of seven - over 79 in the "Under 10 Boys Category", leaving DLF Golf Club's and 2010 Western India Junior Tour Winner Harshjeet Sethi in third place with a score of eight - over 80.

Karnataka Juniors 2011 Winner and the Army Golf Club's Tanirika Singh scored a thirty one - over 93 to come second to Delhi Golf Club's Arshia Mahant who scored a twenty four - over 96 in the 'Under 10 Girls Category.'
