Mobil-branded lubricants that have measurable energy benefits will now have a logo to help customers identify the products.
ExxonMobil marketing and technology teams behind the Mobil-branded products made the move to include a logo on their products, following customers' increasing awareness and requests for energy efficiency data on their lubricants.
The new energy-efficiency symbol will help customers identify and select this category of Mobil Industrial Lubricants to support their efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs compared with ExxonMobil's standard hydraulic lubricants in given applications.
The new logo will first appear on Mobil DTE 10 Excel, a new category of hydraulic oils that provides outstanding performance benefits but also has energy-efficiency credentials. Mobil DTE 10 Excel series not only exceeds current standards of hydraulic oil performance but can also help to deliver energy savings versus ExxonMobil's conventional hydraulic oils, leading to improved machinery performance with increased productivity and cost savings. Energy efficiency relates to the fluid performance when compared with ExxonMobil's standard hydraulic fluids. The technology used allows up to 6 percent increase in hydraulic pump efficiency compared with the Mobil DTE 20 series when tested in standard hydraulic applications.
The energy efficiency claim for this product is based on test results on the use of the fluid conducted in accordance with all applicable industry standards and protocols.
The logo was launched at the India Manufacturing Tools Show (IMTOS) in New Delhi today.
