IT Minister presents 'HCL's PC for India' to PM

Mr. Dayanidhi Maran Union Minister of Communications & IT along with HCL Infosystems Chairman & CEO, Mr. Ajai Chowdhry today met with the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh & Chairperson

National Advisory Council, Smt. Sonia Gandhi to present HCL's recently launched low cost, fully functional PC for India Expressing his exhilaration over the launch of HCL's PC for India, Mr.

Maran, said "This is a major milestone in achieving the nations objective of

taking PC to the grass root level in India".

During the meeting Mr. Chowdhry highlighted that HCL is committed to bring PCs within the reach of the common man. He also outlined, under the same commitment HCL has recently introduced HCL's PC for India priced at Rs.9990. This most affordable PC was dedicated to the nation at a press conference early this week by Mr. Maran.

Mr. Ajai Chowdhry was also part of the high powered working committee formed by the Ministry of Communications & IT recently to submit its recommendations on 'Improving PC penetration, internet and domestic software'.
