easyday Hyper: Bharti Retail Launches New Store Format

Bharti Retail, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharti Enterprise, today launched a new store format – easyday Hyper – in Mumbai. easyday Hyper, inside Magnet Mall, LBS Road, Bhandup (West), Mumbai is Bharti Retail’s first store in West India. The store offers customers over 20,000 quality products at everyday low price, a great shopping experience and consistent availability, all under one roof.

Spread over 60,000 sq ft, this easyday Hyper store offers over 475 new items across categories such as jams & spreads, religious needs, spices, flour, biscuits, namkeens, ethnic sweets, oils, ready to fry, chocolate & candy, frozen mutton, frozen vegetables & pickles. In addition, a wide assortment of 3D & LED televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, mobile phones, laptops, tablets and cameras is also available at the new store.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Andrew Levermore, Chief Operating Officer, Bharti Retail, said: “We are delighted to cross two significant milestones today: Our entry into West India and the launch of a new format – our full line Hypermarket under the easyday brand called easyday Hyper in Mumbai. Mumbai is the business centre of India and it is only appropriate for us to launch easyday Hyper in this vibrant city. We are optimistic that this store will be as well received as our stores in North, Central and South India. We believe that easyday Hyper will help Mumbaikars live better by saving them money and by offering them a wide range of quality goods at consistently low prices.”

The easyday hyper in Mumbai has provided employment opportunities and career paths to more than 225 people, including 79 women, meat cutters, fruits and vegetable sellers, school and college dropouts. Of the total employees, 211 are local Maharashtrians.

The merchandise displayed is customer-friendly and aims to create a new, facilitative shopping experience. A section of the store is also dedicated to the toddlers that features a Baby World and has all that a mother would need for her child – toiletries, diapers, clothes, toys, prams and much more.

easyday Hyper stores offer a destination shopping experience that caters to all household needs of every family. They bring together a wide range of goods, high quality products and great in-store experience & service - all under one roof. The product assortment includes personal care products, stationery, household articles, hosiery items, daily-need groceries including staples, processed foods, bakery & dairy products, meat & poultry and fresh produce.
