This winter, join hands with DLF Place, Saket, to spread the warmth in the of society.

DLF Place Saket along with Bata and Alcott has come together with the NGO, Goonj, to launch “Spread the Warmth Campaign” to encourage people to donate their old woolens and help keep the less warm this winter.

Keeping the dignity of the underprivileged in mind the woolens will not be a mere handout but would have to be earned. Their work to earn the woolens can range from making products from recycled paper to sewing clothes, all of which are sold by Goonj.

The drive will be on till December 25, 2011.

Arindam Kunar, VP, DLF Place Saket, said: “We take immense pride to be a part of this noble initiative. Through this campaign, we urge people to take a pledge to contribute as much they can to keep the needy warm and bring a smile on their faces. We feel it’s a great opportunity for us to give back to society whatever good that we have received. We all have a social responsibility to fulfill and by associating with such a good cause we will contribute significantly to the well-being of the underprivileged.”

There will be life-size installations at various points in the mall where customers can drop in their woolens to contribute for the cause. Other than woollies, customers can also drop in their old shoes. A huge life-size Bata shoe box will be placed in the mall for this purpose.

So, if your clothes are piling up in the closet and you are planning to revamp your winter collection, contributing clothes for the underprivileged can be a noble way to start this winter.
