Epson launches new range of home theater projectors

Epson, a world leader in digital imaging and the top projector maker for the last 10 years running (1), has introduced 4 new projectors focused on the home market in India. The highlights of the launch are two groundbreaking models for home theater users - EH-TW6000 and MG-850HD. The new projectors take home theatre projection to a whole new level with the Epson EH-TW6000 being the company's first 3D projector that boasts the world's brightest 3D images(2) for a home theatre projector, and the Epson MG-850 being the world's first HD projector with a dock for popular Apple devices.

Apart from this Epson also launched its most affordable home theatre projector yet: the Epson EH-TW480 and its newest,"all-in-one" projector – the Epson EH-DM30HD, which includes a built-in DivX-capable DVD player and two powerful stereo speakers.

With a large mass of movie enthusiasts in India and with gaming and sport viewing gaining exponentially in popularity, especially among the youth, the market for large screen home entertainment has been growing rapidly.

With the new projectors launched today, Epson expands on its market-leading home theater range to offer an even wider selection allowing home users to choose the most suitable model for their needs.

The Epson EH-TW6000: Affordable 3D / HD Home Theatre Projector

Designed for avid 3D and HD movie lovers, this is Epson's first 3D projector which also offers the brightest 3D images in the world (2). This is made possible by its 480 hertz frame refresh rate that is twice as fast other 3D projectors, and which minimises the "blackout time" between 3D image frames. It also has a pair of 10 watt high quality speakers, and an auto colour mode that automatically calibrates the image brightness and colour to suite the ambient lighting environment.

The Epson MG-850HD: The World's First Apple Device Projector

The Epson MG-850HD is the world's first Apple device HD projector that comes with a convenient dock which allows users to connect their Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod to play back stored photos or movies. The projector also has a set of two 10 watt high quality stereo speakers that allow it to double up as a music player.

The Epson EH-DM30HD: All-in-One Projector

The Epson EH-DM30HD is the newest "all-in-one" projector which has a built-in DivX-capable DVD player and an impressive sounding pair of integrated 10-watt speakers for unmatched cinematic experience for movie enthusiasts. Sporting a bright light output of 2,500 lumens and a new white facade, the Epson EH-DM30HD is also HD ready with a native resolution of 1280 x 720p.

The Epson EH-TW480 is powered by Epson's renowned 3LCD technology that enables distinctly sharper and clearer projections. The projector can produce bright 720P HD movies in true-to-life colour & has convenient built in speakers. It also has the user-friendly horizontal keystone adjuster slider and automatic vertical keystone correction that makes setup quick and easy. It also features a unique "Game Mode" Colour Setting which automatically optimizes the projector to accurately reproduce the bright colours typically found in video games even in bright environments.

This is Epson's latest full-featured projector series that offers high brightness of up to 4000 lm – enabling them to be used in even the brightest classrooms or offices. They also come with comprehensive connectivity options; including the Epson EB-1880 model that has the ability to be networked to receive image and audio signals, and for monitoring purposes.

The Epson EB-400 series:

Ideal for confined spaces, this is Epson's new short throw projector range that offers users a new choice between standard projector models with normal throw distances and the Epson EB-455Wi and EB-460 ultra short throw models.

It can also be fitted with an optional Epson ELPIU03 interactive module that gives the projector interactive capability on any surface it projects on, without the need for an expensive interactive whiteboard.
