DLF Brands has launched America's leading fashion accessories brand Claire's first ever store in India. Claire's has an electric mix of accessories and jewellery targeted at kids, tweens, teens and young women around the world. This is not the first international brand DLF Brands has introduced in India. The company has been instrumental in bringing in some of the most sought after international brands like Boggi Milano, DKNY, Alcott, Sunglass Hut, ELC, Mothercare, et al to India.
Speaking on the occasion, Dipak Agarwal, chief executive - operations and strategy at DLF Brands said, "We are extremely delighted to launch Claire's first - ever store in Delhi. It is a 100per cent franchised store and is part of our overall strategy of bringing new range of product lines to our customers. The fashion accessories market in India is largely dominated by unbranded players, therefore we see a huge market potential for branded players in this segment. The market, currently, stands at an approx Rs 1000 crore and is growing at about 20 percent. We have seen a growth of about 23-28 per cent in the last two years. DLF Brands has always been very selective of the brands that we introduce to the Indian customers. We are hopeful of a good response for the Claire's store and plan to open over 30 such stores across India in the next three years."
Claire's is the first store in India which caters to such young set of audience. With products ranging from Rs 300 to Rs 3000, the brand has products for girls as young as three years old. The launch of Claire's has marked the establishment of a new era in India where the need of each age group is deemed important.
While Pradeep Bhanot, brand head - Claire's, commented, "Use of accessories in India has taken a huge elevation. At Claire's, we have something for every girl between the age group of 3 to 27 years. Being the first in place to cater to such young target group, we expect an affirmative response from the masses. The store offers a plethora of accessories from nail arts to earrings, pendants, make up kits, bags, hats, et al for the girl who loves to pamper herself. With this launch, we are definitely adding in even more spice to the lives of the fashion - conscious Indians."
The new store has an exciting display format with the latest and unique design. Spread across an area of 1000 sq ft, the store is divided into two halves- for young and younger & youngest girls respectively. A really unique feature of the store is that customers can get their ears pierced at the store. The brand offers trained staff and experts present at the store for performing the job hygienically. It is entirely a new concept in India to offer such activity in a store inside a mall.
