Delhi Horse Show wraps up with new records, highest participation and glitterati

A cool breezy evening, a fabulous show of talent in the arena and an endearing audience marked the final evening at the Delhi Horse show.

While numerous records we set in the dozen events ranging across ten days, the finale weekend was marked by a number of celebrities, especially from Delhi's equestrian circuit. Chief guest for the finale evening was the President of the Army Polo and Riding Club and the 'Quarter Master General' Lt Gen Munish Sibal, who attended the evening along with his wife.

Member of Parliament, Jyotiraditya Scindia was seen along with his family, since his 8-year old daughter Ananya Raje Scindia was competing and even came in second in the children's Hacks.

Also spotted from the equestrian circles were polo player Samir Suhag, Commanding officer of 61 Cavalry – Colonel Navjit Sandhu, Arjuna Awardee - Colonel Rajesh Pattu and Argentina-returned Major Rohit Dagar.

Among other enthusiasts seen on the ground were theatre personality and socialiate - Shivani Wazir Pasrich, Indian golfer Vivek Bhandari, Creative entrepreneur Anubhav Swami, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Polo Player Samir Suhag and other notable personalities from the literary and social circles.

Organised by the Army Polo and Riding Club along with 61 Cavalry, the Delhi Horse Show is an annual event, spread across 10 days. Participants and competitors come from across the length and breadth of thecountry, and the events include Dressage, Show-Jumping, Tent Pegging, Puissance and other lighter ones meant to add a fun quotient in the midst of tough competition. This was the 27th successive edition of the Delhi Horse Show.
