Launched as a collaboration between global design experts from New York and New Delhi, Sher Singh is the world's first online clothing brand from India which embodies contemporary Indian concepts using world-class international quality and designs. The website (www.SherSingh.com) features a constantly growing range of lifestyle products, including tees, trousers, polos, shirts, dresses, skirts, saris, and tunics. These products are manufactured with the highest quality construction, design, and components. The name "Sher Singh" embodies a historic Indian symbol of pride and confidence, the lion.
Sher Singh was started by the team behind www.exclusively.in, which is one of the pioneers in e-commerce fashion from India. The team has offices in New York City and New Delhi, and has raised nearly $20 million from some of the world's leading investors, including Accel Partners, Tiger Global Management, and Helion Venture Partners. The company is also supported by a number of seasoned investors and advisors from around the world, including Zaheer Khan (cricketer), executives from Google, Facebook, and Armani, and Sushama Reddy (model/actress).
Inspired by the India's National Cricket Team during their historic World Cup Championship run, Sher Singh's design team aimed to integrate the classic "gentleman's game" lifestyle with a modern twist for their first collection, called Cricket by Sher Singh.
Fittingly, many members of the World Cup Championship team celebrated their victory wearing Cricket by Sher Singh, including MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, and new brand ambassador Zaheer Khan… and so the stage was set to bring the Sher Singh vision to a larger audience.
