Intel looks to Scale Intelligent Systems Group in India

Intel today outlined plans for the company’s Intelligent Systems Group (ISG) in India. Intel is looking at expanding its reach with various partners in the ecosystem and developing smart solutions to Retail, Automotive, Energy, Communications/Networking, Security and Surveillance segments. The intelligent systems will be infused with high performance compute capabilities from the low-power Intel® Atom™ processor to the high-performance Intel® Xeon® processor family.

Intel also provides connectivity solutions for heterogeneous networks, including wide area networking, Wi-Fi and cellular communications. All the connected systems will also be secured and easily managed by adopting technologies such as Intel®vProTM Technology and McAfee security solutions. The 3rd Generation Intel Core vPro processor platform offers improved performance, enhanced visual capabilities and secure manageability over the previous generation Intel Core vPro processor platform. These next-generation Intel Core processors are best suited for the retail, healthcare and industrial industries, which are key segments in the market for intelligent systems.

Speaking at the Intel Intelligent Systems Forum in Bangalore, S. Natarajan, Country Business Manager - Embedded Markets, Intel South Asia said, “There is demand in every industry and every market segment for intelligent solutions that will drastically improve user experience and ROI for companies. Intelligence is as the core of Intel’s innovations, and we are helping create new categories of devices by driving solutions in the areas of Processing Performance, Manageability, Security and Network Connectivity.”

A wide range of intelligent systems and technologies were displayed at the forum including Thin Clients, Digital Signage, Kiosks, All-In-Ones, UTM, Projector PCs, Storage and Industrial Tablet PCs.

Globally, Intel’s Intelligent Systems Group provides wide spectrum of computing solutions to over 3,500 customers from retail and automotive system to healthcare manufacturing and communications solutions such as digital signage systems in major shopping malls, or in-vehicle infotainment systems for auto makers. According to IDC, the market for intelligent systems is developing rapidly and will grow to more than a third of all major electronic systems by 2015.
