IDG India’s CIO magazine has awarded the CIO100 Award to HyperCITY at the 7h annual CIO100 awards in Hyderabad on Friday, September 7th, 2012 at the Marriott, Hyderabad. The annual award program recognizes organizations that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT). Vijay Ramachandran, Editor-in-Chief, CIO India added, “Our hearty congratulations to HyperCITY for demonstrating excellence in IT through innovation and business leadership.”
This year's award ceremony witnessed 491 companies file nominations out of which 200 Finalists assembled at the awards ceremony. A hundred CIOs and IT leaders from leading Indian organizations were recognized in a gala ceremony spread across 2 days, for using information technology in innovative ways to deliver business value, create competitive advantage, optimize business processes, enable growth or improve relationships with customers.
David Hill, President and CEO of IDG International Publishing Services and Chairman, FIPP, gave away the awards at the grand ceremony.
In addition to the CIO100 Award, HyperCITY was also conferred with the CIO Hall of Fame for winning the CIO 100 awards for 3 consecutive years.

The award was in recognition to a Space Planograming project which successfully went live in Jan-Feb 2012. The solution helped us to, not just, have a consistent look and feel, product placement and layout across the chain but also integrated the space available on the shelf with the replenishment and inventory management system to optimize the stock levels at the store.
