Audatex, a division of the $8.5 billion ADP group of the US, world leaders in end to end motor claims processing solutions, has introduced computerized online processing of car claims for the first time in India. Leading Insurance companies like Bajaj Allianz and Tata AIG have already signed up for this solution in partnership with Audatex.
The Audatex online solution offers measurable benefits to all parties in a claim. The garage creates the estimate, adds digital pictures of the damaged car and sends it to the insurance surveyor, who in turn gives survey report online. The whole process is completed within a couple of hours. The
customer benefits from faster claim settlement. The insurer benefits from a transparent process which consistently produces standardized estimates and the repairer benefits from faster turnaround and less paperwork. The insurance loss assessor benefits from filing online survey reports thereby saving time. Finally all get the benefits of detailed management information and statistics, which the Audatex system provides to help all in taking informed business decisions for better management visibility and control.
For the manufacturer, the win is in offering quicker crash repair to its customers through faster claim processes.
Pilots conducted at several Maruti dealerships have conclusively established that claims can be settled online within hours, thereby giving benefits to all.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Pankaj Kapoor, Chief Executive Officer, Audatex India said, "Our new fully connected online processing solution created specially for the Indian Market, will bring about greater efficiencies to repairers and Insurers, besides helping the car owner with faster claim settlement".
Mr. Kapoor added that "Our vision, in India, is to be at the hub of the motor claims industry and provide end to end claim processing solutions and value added consultancy to our Indian customers. We are looking at investments to the tune of $4 million in the first couple of years in hardware, software, data and training infrastructure. Training is a big focus area for us and we are creating a chain of trainers who will assist our customers in implementation."

We hope that this will also bring up the Insurance company and workshop standards in technology besides improving customer satisfaction by reducing TAT".
Audatex has also signed up with Daimler Chrysler India for implementation of AudaEnterprise at all their dealerships. Currently two Mercedes dealers - T&T Motors, Delhi and Auto Hangar, Mumbai - are using AudaEnterprise commercially.
Mr. Hubert Katzenmeier of Daimler Chrysler India Ltd said: "Audatex solutions are used by DaimlerChrysler in several countries and have been proven as accurate and time saving. We have signed up with Audatex India to introduce their solutions to our dealers. We feel that this will help us
to give faster turnaround to our customers and also help the dealership in preparing quick and accurate estimates which are backed up by Daimler Chrysler data".
Audatex established its operations in India, in June last year and has since then has worked very closely with Maruti. Today Audatex motor claim processing software is installed at 12 Maruti dealer locations spread over Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad. In the last eight months,
Audatex has trained some 60 Maruti dealer technicians on online computerized estimating.
Amongst other key insurance companies who are trying out the Audatex software on a pilot basis are New India Assurance, Oriental Insurance, National Insurance and Royal Sundaram.
Audatex India is a division of ADP Pvt. Ltd. and has its technical infrastructure at Hyderabad, in the state of the art ADP facility where ADP employs approximately 1200 people. Headquartered at Mumbai, Audatex has opened up another office in Gurgaon, close to the Maruti factory.
