Anik Industries Limited, a company that has stood for quality for over four decades, today launched Anik Milk in Tetra Pak packages to cater to the increasing demand for safe and hygienic milk. Anik Milk will cater to consumers across North and East India, with a special focus on the North Eastern states as well as Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh.
Three milk variants - standard milk, toned milk and double toned milk – will now be available to consumers in 1 litre Tetra Brik Aseptic (TBA) packages at attractive prices.
“There is a growing demand for safe and nutritious milk in the country, especially in milk deficient states in eastern India as well as the hilly regions of our country’s north. We are excited to associate with Tetra Pak and add their packages to our portfolio. This enables us to provide the consumer with a quality product at an affordable price,” said Anik Industries Joint Managing Director Manish Sahara.
“Anik Industries’ increasing presence in east and north India will now ensure that consumers in these regions will have better access to safe, hygienic and nutritious milk. This is aligned with our company’s vision to make food safe and available everywhere. We are pleased to partner with Anik Industries and be a part of their growth plan,” said Tetra Pak South Asia Markets Managing Director Kandarp Singh.
Milk packaged in Tetra Pak packages is Ultra-High Temperature (UHT) treated. In this process, milk is heated to high temperatures for a few seconds to remove all microorganisms while retaining all the nutrition without the need for preservatives. UHT milk does not need to be boiled, making it ready for consumption straight out of the package. UHT milk in Tetra Pak packages also has increased shelf-life and does not need to be refrigerated until opened.
