Sapna Ahuja, Marketing Head of Baggit has been the champion proponent of OOH advertising for the brand. She says – ‘Modern brands are created by consumers themselves. Marketers can only induce ‘conversations’ and it is the viral spread of sharing-sentiments that builds the brand equity. Online is a very good medium but broadcast medium like OOH induces this conversation on a ‘much larger scale’ as the brand is presented in its greatest grandeur. Simply speaking OOH offers larger than life display space to a brand, and it has its own magic! ’
The campaign has been rolled out in 5 cities in India covering major metros by Laqshya. Every creative says a different tale. Speaking of the campaign, Nina Lekhi, founder of Baggit says, “Baggit does have many designs, and I have observed, over the years, that women look for, and love the one design that enables them to find a little bit of themselves in their bag. It’s amazing how the team at Acid Brand Communications, our advertising agency has managed to put this thought across in the campaign.
“I love the campaign,” she says proudly. “I had a wonderful time at the shoot, and I believe the campaign is truly a labour of love. The idea, the execution, the photography, everything has just come together beautifully.” Speaking about the product, Ms. Lekhi says, “Baggit bags and accessories are made from completely non leather, environment friendly material. The success of the brand,” she adds, indicates a social consciousness among Indian women who are clearly preferring the non-leather stance.”
Laqshya OMI has executed this campaign which is the first usage of OOH media for the brand Baggit. Atul Srivastava, COO, OMI said that as the leader Laqshya/OMI has always pioneered the usage of OOH by brands that have been ambitious but cautious about using this emerging media in modern times. He further adds that ‘OMI is very proud of this association with Baggit and to have brought them to OOH space for the first time. He further said that ‘ OMI is confident that the brand will accomplish the desired objective of this campaign and will use the medium extensively and repeatedly.’
