Out of Home media agency Brand Connect announced the launch of Brand Connect Racing (BCR) last week at Mumbai. In line with this initiative BCR will promote the fastest Indian in the world and has signed up upcoming race driver Advait Deodhar. Extensive marketing plans will be unveiled shortly with sponsor tie in and focusing amplification through Social media, Digital, Television, PR and on ground activations. With the arrival of the Indian F1, the market has seen a steady penetration of luxury automobiles and increased racing circuits, following which the size of the Motorsport Industry and related brand Activation opportunities is poised to grow exponentially.
The 2013 season kicked off with The Formula 1600 race at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore in June. The 1600 series is identified as India’s foremost single seater championship using modern ‘slicks and wings’ machinery. Battling tight racing circuits in his first race this season as a rookie, Advait, who finished 7th & 8th said, “It was an enhancing experience, which I intend building upon, its only upwards from here,” the 23 yr old talented speedster feels “as a professional racer, one needs to be committed to the sport, often pushing oneself beyond limits.” His aggressive racing style won him words of appreciation from the Indian motor racing legend, Narain Karthikeyan who visited the pit garage.
BCR has roped in former F3 winner and British racing champion Rupert Svendsen Cook, as their official advisor. The team already has a five year plan which will see them escalating to the most competitive race series.
For the 2013 season, BCR also announced singing up its principal sponsors Smaaash & FEI cargo and associate partners Seacret and BIG RTL thrill, amongst others.
