Avaya GlobalConnect launches IP- based Contact Center Solutions for SMEs in India

Avaya GlobalConnect Ltd., India's number one Enterprise Communication Solutions Company*,announced the launch of Avaya's all in one IP Office, for Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in India. This powerful yet small, feature-rich, IP based product is designed to offer a complete conferencing, messaging and contact center suite of solutions for the SME's thereby enabling enterprises to boost employee productivity, enhance customer efficiency and reduce costs.

Global growth consulting company, Frost & Sullivan, estimates that the total revenue of IP PBX market in India is likely to nearly double, from USD 82 million (approx) in 2005-06 to USD 160 million (approx) by 2007-08, and the SME segment would comprise an estimated 40% of this total market revenue. As per their India Enterprise Telephony Market Study for the base year 2004, the addressable market for IP Office in India currently, is approx. USD 35 million (market projection includes voice market figures and estimated figures @ 40% of the total SME market in India) and is likely to increase to USD 58 million by 2008 (market growth @ CAGR 35% till 2008.)

Offering a range of features and functionalities, Avaya IP Office has been very competitively priced for the Indian market. With its salient features such as IP functionality allowing voice and data on the same network, enhanced networking capability with centrailised messaging, upto 480 port system, 64 party conferencing, enabling feature rich reporting/applications for compact contact centers, conversion of text to speech, in-built secure router and firewall, in-built voice mail etc., it is an extremely cost-effective, all- in- one converged communication solution for the SME segment.

With a projected market share of approx. 30% of the total addressable IP Office market by 2007-08, the product is targeted to satisfy needs of the SME customers ranging from MNC's, to Indian blue chip companies that have 300-350 employees (including Banks Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI), IT & Software and FMCG's etc.), as well as, call centres with upto 75 seats, to multi-site enterprises having remote location offices in hub and spoke model (i.e., corporate office to regional office to branch office).
