Sahara India Pariwar announced the launch of India’s Largest Travel & Tourism Company, Sahara Global, with an outreach of 665 marketing offices across 165 cities to unleash a revolution in Indian Travel industry. Sahara Global has been formed with a strategic vision to cater to the travel needs of individuals, corporate and small businesses. The company today launched its services across seven business verticals which include Travel (Outbound, Inbound and Domestic), Conferences, Exhibitions, Medical Tourism and a proposed dynamic travel portal for e-commerce and online inventory distribution of this size.

This is the first time that an Integrated Travel Services Company would be offering travelers a National reach and scale of this dimension through the entire value chain of travel services to provide to its customers one brand, one standard, one uniform quality and one value system anywhere in India. The service would also be available on its dynamic state of the art Travel Portal enabling access to global customers and markets.

By creating one quality brand with access points that go right down to the grassroots, we are creating a platform where people wishing to travel can merely walk into a Sahara Zone – be it in their neighborhood, on the Internet or through their travel agent – and buy a travel experience anywhere in the country or abroad that is assured by the Sahara brand on standard, quality and value system.”

According to Mr Datta, “From Gorakhpur to Guntur, Belgaum to Varanasi, across 165 cities, there will be Sahara Global touch point which will provide end to end information and services for travelers. In a country where domestic and international traveling is growing at a phenomenal average of 15%, it is quite apparent that the Indian traveler is grossly under-serviced even as both customers and destinations have taken to the road with a vengeance. Sahara Global plans to provide for the first time in India an end-to-end, truly national service infrastructure for travelers.”

India’s largest Travel Services Network Under a Single Brand

Sahara Global will market its services from 665 offices across 165 towns and cities and via the intranet with a contemporary hotel and flight booking option engine for both B2B and B2C mode. For Sahara Global, marketing workforce of more than 3 lakh of the nearly million-strong Sahara Pariwar will be providing travel services solutions across the country reaching out to major metros and B&C class Towns and Cities.

Distribution backed by the world’s 12th largest V-Sat Network

The Sahara Global marketing, sales, distribution and services logistic network is backed by a robust V-Sat network that already covers the 1420 Sahara offices nationally across 217 cities.

Sahara Global to manage 52 properties over next three years

Sahara Global will also be marketing 3000 hotels in domestic destinations under its own brand. These will also be distributed oversees through its proposed alliances with global inventory distributors. Further, over the next three years, Sahara Global will begin managing 52 hotel properties across the country.

Overseas offices open in New Jersey, San Francisco, London, UAE and Singapore

To cater to marketing India as a travel destination, Sahara Global has opened marketing offices in New Jersey, Los Angeles, San Francisco and London; UAE and Singapore being next on the agenda. Apart from marketing Indian destinations to inbound tourists and to the NRI, the offices would also be supporting the growth of medical tourism.
