Collection Description:
Flower Market
The Flower Market theme reflects independence and modernism. Well suited for an independent and modern girl who is comfortable with her own feminity. The theme reflects a whimsical, retro attitude, which is also nostalgic.
The prints have a new way of mix and match pattern in contemporary settings. Edgy retro graphic designs, photographic prints and florals are mixed with stripes. Small and oversized floral prints coordinate with multi-coloured stripes and multi-sized polka dots. An influence of Chinese and Japanese motifs is also seen.
Softly mixing tonal yet happy emotional colours and embellished surfaces are the key features in this theme.
Flavours of Life
The theme ‘Flavours of life’ attributes a more Asian aesthetic in traditional colours. Low slung, minimal, clean lined and colour blocked, best describe the look and attitude. Inspired from the arts and crafts movement, this theme is a backlash to the hi-tech world.
The colours are more organic and comfortable. Traditional colours are used in a more colour blocked, artisanal and graphic manner. The colour combinations are inspired from nature and food.
The prints comprise of geometric circles, bold textural stripes and squares, graphic botanical florals, simplified oriental grids and large oversized patterns. Also seen are designs inspired from East Asia and folkloric patchwork with handcrafted details.
Ornamental Urban
The Ornamental Urban theme reflects sophistication and glamour. The look is elite containing rich, elegant, fashionable motifs and design expressions, keeping the pace with some of the well received international trends in modern design.
There has been an attempt to move away from a very minimal black and white to a more narrative design pattern. The colours black and white now are sensuously combined with pink, peacock and sage green accents.
The motifs are ornamental as well as non geometric. The prints include booti, jaal, wavy geometrics and art nouveau patterning.
