Ford India has taken another step forward in the important and growing automotive market in the country with the launch of Ford Fiesta Diesel EXi priced aggressively at Rs. 6.85 lakhs (ex showroom New Delhi).
The company has received an overwhelming response for the all-new Fiesta, and especially for the diesel variant. Ford, now leads the premium midsize segment in 17 top markets in India. Scott McCormack, Vice President – Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India said, “Enthused by the raving success of Ford Fiesta across the country, and responding to the customer feedback, Ford India has launched the Fiesta Diesel EXi, which offers buyers a sensational package of outstanding driving dynamics, enhanced interior comfort, refinement and class leading fuel efficiency”.
With the launch of Fiesta in the country, Ford strategically introduced its proprietary Turbo Direct Common Rail injection (TDCi) technology in India. Incredibly refined and economical, yet powerful and packed with torque, Ford's TDCi technology takes diesel performance to an unmatched level in the country.
McCormack added “The TDCi-powered Fiesta Diesel EXi with the smoothest and quietest diesel engine in its class will dramatically change customers’ perceptions about the traditional diesel vehicle. The car is designed to deliver responsive acceleration, outstanding fuel economy, and reduced emissions consistent with future norms. With this addition to the portfolio, we are set to dominate the premium diesel car market in the country."
The Fiesta’s all- aluminum diesel powertrain is a state of the art engine equipped with new generation TDCi technology. Using the latest two-stage fuel injection system and an Accelerometer Pilot Control, the Fiesta is creating newer standards in turbo-diesel performance in a premium passenger car.
Ford has initiated a wide range of programs and services designed to make Ford owners among the most satisfied motor vehicle owners in India. FordCarGainz, the first customer loyalty program introduced by an automobile manufacturer in India, rewards customers who follow Ford guidelines on routine services through authorized Ford dealerships. This initiative also educates the consumer on the risks they incur by the use of non-genuine spare parts and unauthorized service centres. FordCarGainz benefits Ford owners immensely by encouraging them to maintain their car as per prescribed frequencies, thereby getting the best performance from their vehicles.
The company recently introduced the innovative Total Maintenance Plan for its high volume models. For the Fiesta Diesel, the TMP plan offers total maintenance at a price as low as Re. 0.52 per km. The plan covers even wear and tear items, in addition to electrical and mechanical items in a car. This plan insulates the customer from spare parts price revisions in the future and increases the resale value of the car.
