Radio City 104.8 FM has announced the launch of "Junior RJ Hunt", an event aimed to offer the children of Lucknow an opportunity to use their cumminication skills and be voted the best Junior Radio Jockey.
All that the children have to do is to send in their applications with sample recordings of their voices on audiocassettes. After a screening process, 10 short-listed participants will get an opportunity to be co-hosts on Radio City 104.8 FM on select days. Listeners of Radio City will then vote for the best Junior RJ.
Says Sumantra Dutta, COO of Radio City, "Through the Junior RJ Hunt, Radio City 104.8 wishes to reach out to kids. With a judicious mix of entertainment and education, it's a show for the kids, hosted by kids. We are sure it's going to be a super hit among the young as well as the old."
An expert panel of judges comprising theatre personality Rishad Rizvi and Meera Talwar, programming head of Radio City, Lucknow, Jaideep Banerjee, and Sthitadi Basu, station head of Radio City, Lucknow, will then audition them to select the best Junior RJ on the basis of points scored during the auditions and on the basis of listeners' votes.
Radio City will conduct roadshows across the city of Lucknow for four days from July 11 to promote the Junior RJ Hunt.
