Hallmark Channel lineup gets 18 Emmy Awards nominations

The US television community has honored Hallmark Channels programme line-up with 18 Emmy Award nominations for 2003. The line-up includes movies which are original to the Hallmark Channel. The 55th Annual Emmy Awards will take place at Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium on September 21.

The Emmy nominations include Tennessee Williams Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone leading the pack with five nominations, Frank Herberts Children of Dune with four nominations, Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story with three nominations, Soldiers Girl with two nominations, followed by A Painted House, Gleason, Monte Walsh and Out of the Ashes with one nomination each. Of these nominations, A Painted House and Gleason are Hallmark Entertainment Original Productions.

These titles join this years Emmy nominated drama series, My Big Fat Greek Life nominated as Outstanding Cinematography for a Multi-Camera Series, and The Guardian, with special guest appearance of Farrah Fawcett nominated as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series. The Guardian and My Big Fat Greek Life will be showcased on the Hallmark Channel in October and November respectively.
