Graced by a cross-section of personalities from the film and music industry apart from popular MTV veejays, the event was organised in support of patients suffering from HIV/AIDS and to highlight the discrimination they face in society.

Organised in conjunction with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), sponsors of the event included Sony Hi-Fi and Tata Indicom.

The show was kicked off by Sahara, a group of 15-24 year olds stricken with the disease, who performed their brand of music on stage while children from the Family Health International-funded project Dancing Feat, performed a dance sequence choreographed by Shiamak Davar.

The event also saw the telecast of Haath Se Haath Mila, a pilot produced by BBC India, which attempted to capture the behind-the-scenes episodes of the show with humsafars, a group of teens at risk to HIV/AIDS, as they met up with their favourite Bollywood stars and music artistes.

GO 92.5 FM broadcast the event live on radio while on-ground partners included Coca-Cola, Barista, Shoppers Stop and Rotaract Club, Bombay Hills South. The Grand Intercontinental, Mumbai was the hospitality partner.
