On his decision to go with the digital format of UFO Moviez, Mr. Randhir Kapoor, the torchbearer of R. K. Films says, “We are constantly being approached by various single-screen theatres and multiplexes with requests to screen our films. However, we posses these films in analogue prints, which have a limited shelf life and whose print quality deteriorates with the passage of time and with repeated screenings. We therefore thought it is appropriate to have them released in digital prints to preserve these much-loved films for eternity. We are well aware of UFO Moviez and its technology and can’t think of a better organization to partner us in this effort. It is not the income that we will earn from these movies but the sheer pleasure and joy of making classics available to discerning audiences in a good format. This is the first step and we will continue this effort, for the entire library of R. K. Films.”

Mr. Pankaj Jaysinh of UFO Moviez is thrilled at this honor and says, “It is a great honor to be considered by the great R. K. Films to release their timeless classic movies in digital prints. We feel like we are playing a part in preserving the history of Indian cinema by maintaining these beautiful classics for the future generation. Raj Kapoor has numerous fans and the movies and songs cut across all generations and all classes of audiences and it will be our pleasure to play a part in the screening of his timeless classics. Mr. Randhir Kapoor is a visionary and understands the benefits of UFO Moviez’ technology and has therefore entrusted us with this mission of capturing the essence of the golden era.”

A digital print is the only answer for the great Indian classics to survive the test of time.
