Ravi Kishan is Brand Ambassador of Bhojpuri TV Channel

Broadcast Initiatives Limited, promoted by Sri Adhikari Brothers, has signed Ravi Kishan, super star of Bhojpuri films as Brand Ambassador for its soon to be launched world’s first Bhojpuri Channel, “HUM BHOJPURIYA”. Ravi Kishan will be the exclusive Brand Ambassador of the Channel for 3 years and will also perform varieties of reality and talent shows for the channel during this period.

Speaking on the association, Ravi Kishan stated, “I am very happy to be associated with the forthcoming Bhojpuri Channel from the house of Sri Adhikari Brothers. I am confident that the kind of content that we plan to showcase will appeal not only to the Bhojpuri speaking public, but also the entire Hindi speaking regions.”

Bhojpuri, the dialect of Eastern UP and Bihar, is also spoken in parts of Mumbai, Delhi and Bengal. While, approx 30 to 40 Lacs Bhojpuri speaking people are based in Mumbai alone, it is also spoken in around 37 countries and is second national language of Mauritius. This small island in the Indian Ocean also has a regular TV news bulletin in Bhojpuri language.

South has always been dominated by the regional language and it even supersedes Hindi films as far as the budget of the films is concerned. After the southern regional languages, Bhojpuri which is a dialect of Hindi is emerging as a huge entertainment market in the country.

Ravi Kishan shot to fame after winning the title of “Big Boss”. He will also be anchoring the soon to be launched talent hunt show “Bathroom Singer”.
