Radio Mirchi Rocks!! With the Wave 4 ILT results it's loud and clear that India's hottest radio station Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM is undisputedly Kolkata's No.1 Radio Station.
Making listeners happy with its city centric programming and unique positioning of 'Mirchi Sunnewale always Khush' the station has managed to gain favorable listenership, emerging as Kolkata's most listened to Radio station.
Conducted by MRUC and ACNielsen ORG-MARG, the study is based on the Day After Recall (DAR) methodology and clearly proves that Mirchi enjoys almost 55 per cent share of the total radio category. Moreover, the radio station enjoys a leadership position amongst both male and females across radio stations and has the highest share of listenership in Kolkata across all SEC's and all age groups.
The closest competitors, Big 92.7 FM and Red FM recorded a mere 11.9 lakh and 6.89 lakh listeners, in comparison to 22.37 lakh listeners of Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM.The listenership base for other radio stations in the city was Aamar FM 3.8 lakh listeners, Power FM 2.57 listeners and Friends FM with 2.23 listeners.

Recently the city of Kolkata witnessed the radio station gaining an entry into the Limca Book of Records for its Kolkata police Friendship Cup for being the largest football tournament in terms of participation and scale in India.
