New Delhi, February 8, 2008

What better way to beat the icy winter chill than a piping hot cup of tea at your favourite tea-joint? Celebrating Delhi's everyday heroes who are achievers in their own right, Delhi's Radio City 91.1FM today concluded an innovative campaign called 'City ki Chai'. Listeners were invited to nominate and vote for their favourite tea stalls in the city. After a stupendous response from listeners, 7 of Delhi's most loved tea stalls were short listed of which Babubhai Chaiwala, Opp. Old Delhi Railway Station was declared the winner of City Ki Chai. 'Jai Jawan Tea Stall' located in North Campus came in a close second.

RJs Varun and Simran of Delhi's favourite 'Whatte Fun Mornings' invited all listeners who participated in this campaign to join for a hot cuppa-tea at

Babubhai Chaiwalla's – an over 50 year old tea stall which carries on the legacy of serving tea with the same taste and humility. It was a moment of jubilation for the owner - Babubhai, who deeply moved by this adulation thanked Delhi city and shared his secret tea recipes through a LIVE broadcast with RJ Riccha on City Spice.
