'UTV Movies acquires biggest blockbusters of 2008'

UTV Movies, the Hindi movie channel by UTV Network, acquires Jodhaa Akbar and Jannat - the two biggest blockbusters of 2008. The channel will soon premiere these movies.

Jodhaa Akbar starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar was released on February 15 2008 and received an outstanding worldwide response and was declared the first blockbuster of this year.

Jannat starring Emraan Hashmi was released on May 16 2008 has also received rave reviews and been declared a big hit. The movie boasts of excellent music, which has been composed by Pritam.

The channel will also be premiering Rajeev Khandelwal's debut movie Aamir which has received excellent reviews from critics across the country, and is currently running successfully across theatres. The movie will air on television within six weeks of its theatrical release.

Further, the channel will premiere Halla Bol, Rajkumar Santoshi's hard-hitting entertainer with memorable performances by Ajay Devgan and Pankaj Kapur, in July.
