The fans have voted with gusto and the wait is finally over! Its time now to unveil the winners of the third annual AXN Action Awards, where our heroes will be felicitated with all the fanfare they deserve. Will Sanjay Dutt win for his dashing actions in ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’, or will the victor be The Big B, Amitabh Bachchan for his striking performance in ‘Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag’? Watch the vivacious Neha Dhupia disclose the winners of the popular AXN Action Award this Sunday, 6th of July at 8 pm.

AXN Action Awards – Bollywood’s only action awards was created by AXN as a unique platform for the fans to felicitate the talent and effort that goes into creating the best cinematic action and recognize the importance of action as a popular genre in Bollywood. In the last two years, AXN Action Awards received an overwhelming response giving a voice to the million of fans across the country that voted and lead their favourite stars to victory!

Bollywood’s ardent fans that voted through May and June will now have their moment of satisfaction this Sunday as they see their heroes being felicitated. The voting mechanism was done through SMS, Online, and Ballot Paper for the various categories of awards.

This year Bollywood witnessed Amitabh Bachchan’s new menacing Gabbar looks in the remake of Sholay ‘Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag’ to the classy criminal catching of Sanju Baba in the gripping ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’. Both the actors got nominations for the Best Action Actor in a Negative Role and Best Action Actor in a Lead Role respectively. AXN Action Awards also felicitates other action stars in various other categories.

Yet the past is not forgotten and die-hard fans of yester-year films will not be disappointed, as along with the other titles, AXN Action Awards will be presenting the Lifetime Achievement award. The Lifetime Achievement award will be bestowed on that one talent who has defined and shaped the action genre of the Bollywood Industry over the years.
