As Friendship Day approaches, Cartoon Network celebrates the wonderful bond of friendship by presenting the first of its kind trans-created show “Samsher Sikander Chuddie Buddie”. The brand new show revolves around the unique and an unusual friendship of a young boy, Samsher Singh with a crazy and extremely funny spider monkey, Sikander. Launching on July 21, 2008, the show will be on air Monday – Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Due to a mix up by the Byculla Municipal Council, who thought “Sam ‘Sher’ Singh” actually was the name of a lion, 12 years old Samsher Singh gets transferred to ‘Pashu Pakshi Kendriya Vidyalaya’, where all the students and faculty are animals! As the only human student, Samsher soon finds that life at his new school is really the survival of the fittest and befriends “Jimmy Sikander” - an over smart monkey, who swings “Samsher” into trouble and misadventures, turning him into an ultra-cool kid in the school.

Krishna Desai, Director, Programming, Turner International India Pvt Ltd, said, “Samsher Sikander Chuddie Buddie is yet another exciting and innovative show from Cartoon Network’s stable. The show displays the beautiful yet extraordinary friendship of a young boy with a monkey, so extremely opposite in nature as well as species and yet they bond as twins, opportune to celebrate the friendship spirit around the corner.
