Amul Star Voice of India seizes to be a music talent show this Friday, August 29 as Director, Kunal Shivadasani and Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja hijacks the show. They ask the hostages - the three judges, host Shaan and the 9 contestants to perform and entertain them if they want to get out of the sets alive.

This week on Amul Star Voice of India, Shiney Ahuja and Kunal Shivadasani infiltrate the sets like terrorists to promote the upcoming movie ‘Hijack’. Besides their ambush tactics, Kunal also spoke about the movie and Shiney Ahuja took the opportunity to convey his heartfelt condolences to Ishmeet’s family on his untimely and unfortunate death. “I had heard him sing last year when I came on the show; a very talented and promising artist. I was completely shocked when I heard the news,” said the actor.

Bringing the show to a lighter mood, Shaan quickly got back by introducing the theme for the evening. This Friday, audiences get a musical treat as Amul Star Voice of India celebrates ‘Sukhwinder Special’; all the participants sing songs sung by Sukhwinder Singh. It’s nerve wrecking for the contestants to perform before Sukhwinder.

With the competition stepping up by the day, all the contestants have set their performance meter really high. Ravi from Delhi captivates while he performs on Sukhwinder’s best creation ‘Woh Kisna Hai’ while Ritisha’s new style of singing ‘Chal chal mere sang sang’ strikes the musical chord with the judges. Vinti’s performance on ‘Mai yaara ta koi naiyo rabba rabba’ gains admiration as Sukhwinder himself appreciates her improvisation. Sukhwinder joins Zakir while he sings the difficult number ‘Layi bhi na gayi’. Ryan dazzles the show with his amazing dance moves once again while singing ‘Saki Saki’ while Sukhwinder appreciates Saptaparna for her efforts while singing ‘Mai chali ,mai chali is gali us dagar’. The other contestant Rahul performs on ‘Lagan lagan lagan lag gayi’. Punjab da puttar Vipul remembers Ismeet while he sings ‘Ghar aja ve’. The last contestants of the evening Rohit & Sayantani receive appreciation as they lend their voice to ‘Nasha he nasha hai’ & ‘Beedi jalayile’ respectively.

Will their singing match up with Sukhwinder’s original rendition? Will they be able to do justice to the song and impress the judges or will they outdo their masters? Also it’s the freaky Friday in which one contestant will face the axe of elimination? Whose journey will end this Friday on Amul Star Voice of India?
